If you exceed your contractual PPAD for offtake, a penalty tariff will be applied to the excess part as measured in the month M (e.g: February in the picture below).
This penalty tariff will last for a period from month M (e.g: February) until month M+11 (total: 12 months).
The penalty tariff corresponds to your initial PPAD tariff + 50% extra cost.
Which point of reference do you use to calculate the penalty?
The point of reference used for the calculation of the excess part for the grid users directly connected to the Elia grid is the 11th peak of the month measured in kVA.
What happens if other excesses are made?
If the power put at disposal for offtake is exceeded more than once during the 12-month period indicated above, this period is automatically extended, taking as its point of reference the highest peak (exceeding the power put at disposal) for the previous 12 calendar months as illustrated in the picture below.
This tariff applies to each access point, based on the infrastructure level to which the relevant grid user is connected.
