Some capacities, for which no current reservation or allocation is known, are included in the reference operating state of the grid. They are treated identically to reserved and allocated capacities and will therefore not be shown as ‘remaining available hosting capacity’. Pre-reserving capacities secures hosting for the capacities needed in the future energy mix in line with policy and decarbonization objectives, as well as the capacities (on low-voltage grids) that do not follow the standard procedures of capacity reservation or allocation.
